Put your wellies on and pretend to be a farmer for the day on 6th May at our Open Day at Middleton of Rora. Take a walk around the farm and see for yourself what our beautiful, doe-eyed cows like to eat, where they lie down in the fields and soak in the summer sunshine, how they are milked in our state-of-the-art computerised dairy, where the milk is stored ready for collection and where our delicious rora dairy yogurt is made.
Maybe you can even stroke the calves and who knows, even watch one being born!

We will all be there to show you around.

Bruce & Jane

Barnaby & Aidan
Bruce (the farmer), Jane (the yogurt maker), Barnaby (the eldest son) and Aidan (the younger son) and of course the family pets, Jaffa (the naughty cocker spaniel), Crumpet (the beautiful golden labrador) and Jane’s gorgeous piebald horse, Rosie. We are all looking forward to showing you around our busy farm and introducing you to our working farming life.
For the open day we will also be offering refreshments from our very own dairy with freshly made fruit and natural yogurts, teas and coffees and home baking. We are even offering you the chance to make your own smoothies – ride around on a special “smoothie bike” and each pedal of the bike will mix up the yogurt and fruit (in a special smoothie-making pot attached to the wheel) to create the perfect, healthy summer’s drink. All donations on the day will go to the local charity Friends of Anchor which is “Helping to make North-East Scotland’s Cancer and Haematology Care the Best it can be”.

Plain yogurt, granola and fresh fruit – yum!
